The protection of your personal data is important to us. We process it exclusively on the basis of the statutory provisions, in particular the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Austrian Data Protection Act (DSG) and the Austrian Telecommunications Act 2021 (TKG 2021). This policy describes which data is processed when you visit this website and when you send us an enquiry.

In short: this website sets no cookies, uses no analytics or tracking services, embeds no third-party content and keeps no access logs. We only receive personal data when you write to us through the contact form or by email.

Controller

The controller for data processing on this website is Cloonar Technologies GmbH, Linzer Straße 192/1/2, 1140 Vienna, Austria. You can reach us – including for any questions about data protection – at office@cloonar.com.

Hosting

This website runs on our own hosting platform. We rent the web server from netcup GmbH (Karlsruhe, Germany); our mail server and the system logs of our servers run at Hetzner Online GmbH (Gunzenhausen, Germany). Both providers process data solely on our behalf on the basis of a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR). The servers are located in the European Union; your data is not transferred to third countries.

Visiting the website

When you visit this website, your browser transmits technically necessary data to our server: your IP address, the date and time of the request, the address requested, information about your browser and operating system and, where applicable, the page you visited before. We use this data solely to deliver the pages to you.

We keep no access logs – your page views are not recorded. Only when a technical error occurs during a request may the server’s error log contain the IP address and details of that request. We use these logs solely for troubleshooting and secure operation; they are deleted automatically after a short time.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in the secure and functional operation of the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

The connection to this website is encrypted with TLS (HTTPS), so data you send to us cannot be read by third parties.

Contact form

When you write to us through the contact form, we process the details you enter there: your name, your email address and your message and – if the form offers these fields and you fill them in – a subject and your phone number. In addition, the form transmits the address of the page on which you submitted it, the time of submission and your consent.

Your enquiry is forwarded to us as an email through our own mail server. It is not stored on the web server, and you do not receive an automatic copy. To protect against abuse (such as mass spam), your IP address is used briefly in memory to limit the number of enquiries per sender; it is neither stored nor logged nor passed on.

We use your details solely to answer your enquiry. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you give by submitting the form; if your enquiry concerns an order or a quote, additionally the performance of pre-contractual measures (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). The brief use of the IP address to protect against abuse is based on our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Providing these details is voluntary; without a name, email address and message, however, we cannot answer your enquiry. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future, for example by email to office@cloonar.com. The lawfulness of the processing carried out until the withdrawal remains unaffected.

Contact by email

When you write to us directly by email, we process your email address, your name and the content of your message in order to answer your enquiry (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR).

Retention period

We keep enquiries sent through the contact form or by email for up to six months for processing and in case of follow-up questions, and delete them afterwards. If your enquiry leads to an order, we keep the related correspondence for as long as statutory retention obligations require (in particular seven years under § 132 of the Austrian Federal Fiscal Code, BAO). We do not pass your data on to third parties without your consent.

Cookies and local storage

This website sets no cookies.

When you switch between the light and dark colour scheme with the button in the header, your browser saves this choice in local storage (entry “cloonar-theme” with the value “light” or “dark”) so that the website keeps it on your next visit. This entry stays on your device, is not transmitted to us and contains no personal information. You can delete it at any time in your browser’s settings. Storing it is strictly necessary for the function you explicitly requested (§ 165(3) TKG 2021).

Fonts

The fonts used on this website are loaded from our own server. No connection is made to third-party servers (such as Google Fonts).

This website contains links to websites of other providers, for example to our entry in the company directory (Firmen A–Z) of the Austrian Economic Chamber. Only when you follow such a link do you leave our website; the linked page is subject to its operator’s privacy policy.

Your rights

With regard to the personal data we process about you, you are in principle entitled to the following rights:

  • Access (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • Rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)
  • Erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
  • Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
  • Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
  • Objection to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR)
  • Withdrawal of consent given, with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR)

To exercise these rights, an informal message to office@cloonar.com is enough. No automated decision-making or profiling takes place.

If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law, you can lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority. In Austria this is the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Datenschutzbehörde), Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, www.dsb.gv.at.

Changes to this policy

We update this privacy policy when the website, our data processing or the legal situation changes. The version published here applies.
